Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates is seeking a highly organized, independent and motivated summer intern for its Boston office.  Current projects managed from our Boston office focus on:

• Public Transit Service Planning
• Paratransit Planning and the Coordination of Community Transportation
• Multi-Modal Transportation and Non-Motorized Transportation
• Smart Parking and Transportation Demand Management

The successful Intern will likely be working on projects in one or more of these areas.

Responsibilities:
Intern responsibilities will depend on the specific needs of projects that are being undertaken during the summer months but will likely include research, data collection and analysis, editing reports, support/field work, and possibly some business development tasks.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a “between years” graduate school student who is seeking a Masters in transportation planning, and who will have successfully completed his/her first year of study.  Solid experience with MS Office and GIS is preferred. 

Internship Duration
The summer internship is envisioned as a 3-month internship. We are seeking to have an intern in place by June 4 at the latest.
