for the following positions:
Nelson\Nygaard is a 50-person transportation
planning firm with offices in San Francisco, Boston, Portland,
New York and Seattle. Having led the transportation planning
for nearly 100 New Urbanist projects, Nelson\Nygaard is now
seeking to expand its services to cover more aspects of transportation
engineering. We are seeking registered professional engineers
in all our offices with experience in:
- Traffic analysis in Synchro
- Design of rail station areas and transit intermodals
- Street design in complex, urban, multimodal context
- Vehicle trip generation and mode split analysis for
TODs and mixed use development
- Transit ridership forecasting and modeling
Qualifications
Applicants must have an urbanist perspective, experience
with context-sensitive or context-directed design, and a
deep understanding of how the needs of all modes can be
balanced in limited street rights of way.
