Nelson\Nygaard's real world experience planning for sustainable transportation programs is supported by our expertise in program management and evaluation. Implementing and monitoring a new program requires skill and staffing levels that agencies often can not support internally. We can serve as an extension to our client's staff, ensuring that the program is implemented quickly, with minimal revisions and minimal negative impact on the public. As evaluators, we constantly measure and refine our products to ensure that our clients get optimal results. Nelson\Nygaard has designed and implemented a range of independent evaluations of diverse programs, from paratransit to Transportation Demand Management. Rather than simply assessing the number of users served or calculating operational success, we tie performance measures back to the program goals, such as vehicle trip reduction or improved access to services. Our work ranges from quantitative surveys and data analysis, to qualitative interviews with users and other stakeholders.
