Gwen Griffin Selected for APTA's Emerging Leaders Program

Recognized for her commitment to providing communities with safe and accessible transit, Gwen will join APTA's Emerging Leaders Program, class of 2026.

‍Gwen started her career in transit with the Greater Richmond Transit Company in Richmond, VA, where she focused on analyzing ridership trends, performance metrics, and managing amenity distribution. Since joining Nelson\Nygaard in 2021, she has led or contributed to comprehensive operational analyses and network redesigns, transit development plans and long-range plans, and regional bus priority work like the MBTA Bus Priority Toolkit.

APTA's Emerging Leaders Program provides public transportation professionals with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed for advancement. Participants learn from industry leaders while participating in a program that provides opportunities to interact with areas of the industry beyond their specialization. Most importantly, participants learn from a talented cohort of professionals, their classmates, who will become life-long colleagues and friends. Gwen will join 36 other public transportation professionals for the program's class of 2026.
