Joely Overstreet
Associate Engineer-in-Training
Joely believes that walkable cities and streets create togetherness and community.
As an avid runner, Joely understands how important having safe spaces to walk, bike, and play is for both mental and physical well-being. Joely built upon her experiences as a pedestrian through her research, which helped inform the Wisconsin Department of Transportation with actionable strategies to address the increasing threat posed by tall vehicles to pedestrian safety. Her focus on pedestrian safety allows her to have a shifted perspective when looking at roads and streets wherever she goes.
